Now that your layout is complete, you can begin the actual tile installation. For preparation and other tips for a standard installation, go here.
Step
 |
Mix tile adhesive. |
| Measure and mix your thin set to the manufacturer’s recommendation. |
Helpful hints: When spreading out your thin set, be careful not to disturb your chalk lines. You should only spread out enough of your thin set for approximately enough for 2-4 tiles, before it sets.
Step |
Lay whole tiles. |
| Start laying the tile in the furthest quadrant of the room, so that you can work your way through and out of the room as you lay the tile.
Use your notched trowel to spread your thin set in each large square. Lay your tile carefully and add the spacers in between each tile as you place the tile in thin set. |

Helpful hints: When laying ceramic tile never slide or drop the tile into place. Gently twist tile into place instead. Only work one small section or row at a time. Continue this process until you reach a wall and can no longer place whole tiles.
Step |
Cut partial tiles. |
| Using your MeasureRIGHT™ Pro, measure the size of the cut tiles, cut them, and put them in place. |

Helpful hints for cutting: For basic cuts, use a simple tile cutter. If your cuts are more complex, it might be wise to purchase or rent a cutting saw from your local tile distributor.
Step |
Wait for your thin set to cure, following manufacturer’s recommended drying time. |
